New circle rates not applicable in Agra

The district administration said that the new circle rates that will be rolled out from August 1 will not be applicable on any of the old project. Land acquisition for inner ring road, civil enclave, road widening work or any other project already being implemented will take place as per the old circle rates. In order to generate more revenue through sale and purchase of land, the district administration is all set to increase circle rates by 10 to 25%. Meanwhile, some builders and property dealers have started approaching stamp and registration department demanding decrease in circle rates claiming slowdown in the real estate.
