No property tax hike in PimpriChichwad in next fiscal

In a huge relief to around five lakh property holders, the PimpriChinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) will not increase the property tax rates for fiscal 2019-20. A short notice resolution was approved at the weekly standing committee meeting presided over by MamataGaikwad on Tuesday. The property tax department had tabled a proposal in which the rates of fiscal 2018-19 had been suggested for the next fiscal. The proposal needs approval from the general body before February 20. The rates of general tax, cleanliness tax, fire tax, municipal education tax, drainage facility benefit tax, water supply benefit tax, road tax and special cleanliness tax and tree tax for the residential and non-residential properties will be same for the coming fiscal.
