Finding ways to develop and implement new strategies and ensure quicker delivery of services for the benefit of the public, the Registration Department is all set to implement ‘Project STAR 3.0’, an advanced version of the comprehensive online portal for document registration.
State commercial tax and registration minister P Moorthy said that the department will be launching Star 3.0 software in the registration process soon and this software will weed out all the minor glitches in the process.
The minister said that all the registry works in Tamil Nadu are computerized and the registration work should take a duration of not more than 15 minutes. All the payments are also made online. People coming to sub-registrar offices need not carry any cash in hand since all the transactions are made online.
He urged the public to mention the guidance value while registering properties and pay the fees pertaining to the transaction.
