UltraTech Cement has commissioned 4.6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of additional cement capacity across Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and Rajasthan, taking its domestic grey cement manufacturing capacity to 204.7 MTPA.
The latest expansion includes 3.6 MTPA of greenfield integrated capacity commissioned at Petnikota in Andhra Pradesh. The company has also added 1 MTPA through debottlenecking at its existing plants in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, Patratu in Jharkhand and Nathdwara in Rajasthan.
Following the expansion, UltraTech’s total global cement manufacturing capacity stands at 210.1 MTPA, including 5.4 MTPA of overseas capacity.
The capacity addition is part of the company’s ongoing expansion of its cement manufacturing footprint across key markets.
