The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has sealed Manorath Complex near the Sursagar due to violation of the building permission given to it by the civic body.
A notice had been issued to those holding properties in the building by VMC, asking them to vacate it within three hours on Saturday afternoon following which the building was sealed. The civic body had issued a notice on an earlier occasion too, but no action was taken by its owners. According to VMC officials, the building had not taken building use (BU) permission and was also violating the purpose for which the permission for construction was taken. The VMC has prohibited anyone from entering the building till it withdraws the notice.
