Vadodara smart city to hold board meeting today

The board meeting of the Vadodara Smart City Development Ltd – the body formed for implementation of Smart City projects – will be held on Thursday. The meeting will discuss the ambitious Smart City Central Transport Hubproject of the civic body.

The transport hub has been planned on a public-private partnership mode and the Vadodara Municipal Corporation expects to earn a healthy premium from the project. Officials said that three different firms had shown interest in the project. The meeting will also take up the proposal of accepting the resignation of Shailesh Mistry from the board of directors. Mistry was recently relieved of the charge of the city engineer and the charge was handed over to P M Patel who will now be appointed to the board of directors of the SPV.
