The 4.95 acres of a residential chunk of land which Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) plans to give to a private builder through e-auction to develop a planned residential area will have 15% Economic Weaker Section (EWS) houses.
The component, one of the key segments of the project coming up at IT Park, was discussed among bidders during the recent pre-bid meeting with CHB’s senior officials. The urban planning department of the Chandigarh administration, which is also part of the planning exercise, has issued guidelines in this regard.
The reserved price of land has been finalised at Rs 169 crore after going through related financial details and collector rate of the land earmarked. Since this land is completely of freehold nature, the authortity has been expecting good competition among builders or housing companies to participate in the e-tender to take the land to develop the residential colony.
