MahaRERA successfully cleared 323 project registration applications out of 1100 in the last 3 months. Out of 323, the highest application clearance was from the Pune district i.e. 117, 52 was from Raigad, 48 from Thane & 35 from Mumbai.
After 19th June, MahaRERA initiated to grant registration only once the verification of the commencement certificate (CC) was issued by the civic bodies.
Local bodies are been allowed to merge their website along with the real estate authority or send emails with the commencement certificate.
As of now, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is the only one to initiate the action of integrating the website with MahaRERA whereas others are providing emails to the authority. MahaRERA will not offer clearance to the registration applications, if not it receives the CC from the concerned civic body.” Over following these guidelines, CC received by the MahaRERA from the 75 builders got rejected because it was sent personally, as per MahaRERA
Authority has made the clearance compulsory because recently bogus documents were received for project registration at the location Kalyan-Dombivli. This made de-registrstion of those projects. Similar issue arose in the Vasai-Virar last month. Due to such issues, MahaRERA asked the urban development department of the state to structure a system where all approval for the real estate projects like CC & occupation certificates be displayed on the portal by the competent authorities for verification to be done by both buyers & MahaRERA.
