The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has allotted 400 of the total 600 industrial plots measuring between 500 sq mts and over 5 acres at the newly developed Ajang- Ravalgaon industrial estate in Malegaon Tehsil.
MIDC officials said these 400 units will construct their manufacturing plant in the next 2-3 years which will fetch over Rs 1,500 crore of investments and generate employment for over 4,000 people.
MIDC has provided road infrastructure and it is in the process of creating water infrastructure in the new industrial areas which has come up on 345 hectare. NMC has proposed Rs 37 crore for water supply projects only.
Nitin Gavli, the MIDC’s Regional Officer of Nashik said they have started allotting industrial plots. The industries which have been allotted plots at the new industrial estate will start construction immediatedly and they are expected to be operational within the the next 2-3 years.
Nikhil Panchal, The President of Ambad Industries & Manufacturers Association (AIMA) said it is a positive development that the new industrial estate has come up at Ajnag-Ravalgaon in the district apart from Talegaon-Akrale in Dindori. This will boost the industrial growth of the district.”
Earlier the land scarcity was the major issue that’s why the industrial development of Nashik was affecting during the last decade but the MIDC has developed two new industrial estates that will fetch new industrial projects said Panchal adding that MIDC needs to identify more land considering the industrial growth of the district in the coming few years. We also want the MIDC to take efforts to bring Nashik in the second phase of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) added Panchal.
