The Railway Land Development Authority (RLDA) has invited bids for a residential development on a 9300 square metre plot at Strachey Road Colony, Liluah, near Howrah Railway Station, for a lease period of 99 years with a reserve price of Rs 29.58 crore.
For this site a built-up area of approximately 20925 square meters is proposed with Floor Space Index (FSI) of 2.25 for the complete plot size.
“This land parcel, connected through GT Road and Strachey Road along Liluah Railway Station in Howrah, offers excellent transportation access via road, rail, and air. In recent years, Howrah, Kolkata’s gateway has undergone a great deal of urban transformation. Being one of the highly urbanized areas of West Bengal makes the site perfect for residential development. The bidders have ample scope for planning, organizing, and launching the development project”, said Ved Parkash Dudeja, Vice Chairman, Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA).
Howrah, situated on the banks of the Hooghly river, is the second largest city after Kolkata in West Bengal. The pre-bid meeting was held on February 21, where state and local level developers attended and expressed keen interest. The last date for e-bid submission through online mode is March 30.
Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is a statutory authority under the Ministry of Railways for the development of Railway land. It has four key mandates as a part of its development plan, namely leasing commercial sites, colony redevelopment, station redevelopment, and multi-functional complexes.
