Town Planning Schemes for Ahmedabad, Surat, Bhavnagar Approved

Town Planning Schemes for Ahmedabad, Surat, Bhavnagar Approved

The state government has approved seven town planning schemes for Ahmedabad, Surat and Bhavnagar metropolis. The Seven town planning schemes which have approved four preliminary TP schemes for Surat and one each preliminary TP schemes for Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar also includes one draft TP for Bavla.

Government has approved Surat Municipal Corporation preliminary TP scheme No. 27 Bhatar- Majura, Scheme No. 51 Dabholi, Scheme No. 50 Ved- Katargam and Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA) preliminary TP scheme No. 85 Sarthana-Pasodra-Laskana.

As a result of approval of these 3 preliminary TP schemes of Surat Municipal Corporation, a total of 8.94 hectares of land will be acquired for gardens, sports grounds.  Not only that,16.96 hectares of land will be acquired for public facilities works. For construction of EWS housing for economically weaker sections, 7600 houses can be constructed on 8.58 hectares of land.

As a result of Surat Urban Development Authority – SUDA preliminary scheme 85 Sarthana, Pasodra, Laskana which was approved by Chief Minister for which 9.25 hectares for gardens, sports grounds facilities, 6.69 hectares as well as to construct 5100 EWS houses 5.72 hectares land will be acquired.

For sale as well as to meet the cost of infrastructural facilities, including 1.73 hectares a total of approximately 23.41 hectares of land and a total of 41.08 hectares of land will be acquired in these 3 preliminary TP schemes of Surat metropolis.

Also, three preliminary TP Schemes of Surat Metropolis which includes Scheme No-51 Dabholi Scheme No-27, Bhatar-Majura and Scheme No-50 Ved-Katargam a total of 6.84 hectares of land is to be made available for the purpose of sale to meet the cost of infrastructural facilities.

According to the TP scheme approved, a total of 19.68 hectares of land will be acquired in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation's Preliminary TP Scheme 81 Lambha-Laxmipura-1. In this preliminary TP scheme,approximately 8.05 hectares of land will be available for sale to meet the cost of infrastructural facilities. 

Apart from this, 3.1 hectares of land will be available for gardens and playgrounds and 3.12 hectares for the construction of approximately 2700 housing units for socially and economically weaker sections. Government has also approved Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation's Preliminary TP Scheme 7 Adhewada.

Due to the approval of this scheme, a total of 11.32 hectares of land will be acquired and gardens, playgrounds. And 1.57 hectares for open space, 2.81 hectares for public facilities and 4.57 hectares of land for the purpose of sale to meet the cost of infrastructural facilities. 2.94 hectares of land will also be available for construction of 2600 EWS houses in this preliminary TP No. 7 Adhewada of Bhavnagar.

Apart from these three cities, the Government also approved the draft TP Scheme No. 4 (Bavla) of Bavla Municipality of Ahmedabad district. A total of 54.88 hectares of land is to be acquired in this scheme. 25.64 hectares for the purpose of sale to meet the cost of infrastructural facilities Bavla draft TP scheme No.4, 7.81 hectares for open fields-gardens, Bavla draft TP scheme No.4, 7.81 hectares for open fields-gardens, 11.26 hectares of land will be available for public facilities and 8.95 hectares of land for about 8 thousand EWS houses.
