Case India announced the rollout of its first Made-in-India Skid Steer Loader (SSL) from its state-of-the-art facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. This marks a significant milestone in CASE India’s commitment to expanding its product offerings within the domestic market. The introduction of the indigenously manufactured SSL was first announced during the last edition of CII EXCON, signaling CASE India’s strategic move to extend its product range in response to the growing demands of the Indian construction industry.
The company has now officially handed over the SSL–SR130B machine to its first Indian customer, Global Enterprises, based in Pune.
The India-built SSL SR130B is a robust 49hp, BS3 compliant model, powered by the globally renowned Perkins engine. It boasts a rated operating capacity (ROC) of 590kg and an operating weight of 2.3 tonnes, making it a powerful addition to India’s construction machinery landscape. Globally, CASE has been manufacturing SSLs since 1969, beginning with the 1526 UniLoader from its Burlington (USA) facility. Today, CASE manufactures these machines from its facilities in Wichita (USA), San Piero in Bagno (Italy), and now Pithampur (India), catering to a global demand for CASE machines.
With the launch of the Made-in-India Skid Steer Loader, CASE India reaffirms its dedication to supporting the country’s infrastructure development and its vision of becoming a key player in the construction equipment sector. This rollout not only represents a leap forward for CASE India but also for the broader Indian construction industry, promising enhanced productivity and efficiency in future projects.
