K2 Infragen Limited has secured a significant road project worth Rs 142.14 crore. The contract includes strengthening and maintenance activities on the Jetpur-Somnath highway portion in Gujarat, which runs from km 0.00 to km 123.454 (excluding the Junagarh Bypass). The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded the project to M/s SRM Contractors Ltd., with K2 Infragen charged with carrying out the work under a Performance-Based Maintenance Contract.
This project marks a significant milestone for K2 Infragen, expanding its portfolio and improving its future chances with NHAI. With the latest action, the company's order book now totals Rs 550 crore, indicating significant development in the infrastructure sector.
While commenting on it, Pankaj Sharma, Managing Director at K2 Infragen, said, "Securing this landmark project is a key achievement, marking our largest single order in the Roads & Transport infrastructure domain. We aim to complete most of the work within this year, with the overall project scheduled for completion by September 2026. This order complements our broader strategy of securing large NHAI contracts while diversifying into the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and railway sectors. We have developed strong in-house design, procurement, and construction supervision capabilities, positioning ourselves as leaders in the EPC space."
K2 Infragen is also working with large financial institutions to increase its credit limits and ensure the efficient execution of its present order book. The company intends to continue bidding on new opportunities in various infrastructure sectors, including roads, railways, and water supplies, to increase its order pipeline.
