Kajaria Ceramics, has decided to inject around Rs 290 crore in its two wholly-owned subsidiaries – Kajaria Ultima, and Kajaria Bathware, for their capex plans. Kajari Ultima plans to set up a state-of-the-art slab manufacturing plant in Gujarat at an investment of Rs 210 crore and Kajaria Bathware plans to set up a Rs 80 crore sanitaryware manufacturing facility with a production capacity of seven lakh tpa in Gujarat, through its subsidiary, Kerovit Global.
Both the projects are currently in the planning stages and are expecting clearances from different authorities. Kajaria Ceramics Ltd reported a 3 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 124.73 crore for the third quarter ended December 31. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 121.03 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, Kajaria Ceramics Ltd said in a regulatory filing.
