Kathputli Colony Slum Dwellers to Benefit from Flats Being Developed By Raheja

2800 families stand to benefit from the flats being developed as a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) between the Government of India and Raheja Developers, of which 700 plus EWS units with state-of-the-art quality specifications are ready for handover. First-hand Experience Preview and Showcase are being shared and celebrated with the slum dwellers of Kathputli Colony by the developer.

The beneficiaries of the Kathputli colony In Situ Slum Redevelopment are celebrating the 75th Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with joy and fervour as their dream of owning a home is about to be realized. To mark the occasion, the multi-storied apartments with all modern facilities and infrastructure like provision for RO drinking water, 100 percent water recycling and High-Speed Data and Wi-Fi are lit in the tricolours of the Indian National Flag as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative. 

Over 1000 Kathputli Colony slum artists will be putting up performances today evening to celebrate the change in their lives and appreciate the work done by the Government of India and Rahejas. The performances will include Folk Dance, Dhol, Nagaras, chorus singing, Kathputli dance, magic show etc at the Amphitheatre of Kathputli Redevelopment.

Patasi Bhatt, President of Kathputli Colony Slum Dwellers Association requests that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi ji should soon inaugurate the complex and help Raheja Developers hand over the ready flats to every slum dweller family who lived in poverty and deprivation at Kathputli Colony, waiting to relocate into their new dream houses.

Navin M Raheja, CMD- Raheja Developers Ltd., said, “I have sacrificed everything for the last 13 years to make this possible. It will be a proud moment and mission of my life accomplished to see that these slum dwellers in the lowest strata of our country and society, get their dream home.”
