Forum Next will be mapped against the paradigm shift in consumer attitude, expectations and their behavior post the pandemic along with technology playing a pervasive role in customer interactions and experientials. While a million square feet is the minimum size, its design orientation offers a seamless personalized experience integrated with sustainable practices, and the tenant mix will focus on differentiated offerings.
Elaborating on Forum’s new strategies, Muhammad Ali, COO, Forum Malls, said, “The average Indian consumer spends 20% of their disposable income on fashion. However, most malls in India have 80% of their offerings as fashion and there is a complete disconnect between the consumers’ requirements and malls’ offerings. Our new malls will not have more than 40% of space dedicated to fashion and we will bring in new products and categories which are more relevant for our customers.”
Commenting on the expansion of Forum malls, Irfan Razack, CMD, Prestige Group said, “Since 2004, Forum has blazed on an unprecedented trail that revolutionized the concept of retail in the country and spread its wings across six cities with nine malls, welcoming over six million guests in a year. Our vision for Forum in the next five years is to strengthen its foothold through thoughtful expansion plans. We are working towards developing up to five million sq. ft space across Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi which will help build resonance with consumers in the metro cities.”
Forum’s upcoming developments include Forum Falcon City, located in the heart of South Bangalore, Forum Kochi one of the fastest developing cosmopolitan cities in Kerala and Forum Rex Walk, Brigade Road in Bengaluru.
