SOISU Furniture is positioning itself as a key player in India’s fast-growing interiors and furniture market, with an emphasis on sustainability and execution for large-scale projects.
Speaking about the design process, Rohan Shah, Founding Partner & CEO of SOISU Furniture, noted the challenges of balancing aesthetics and functionality. “What is artistic may not always be comfortable, and functionality often comes at the cost of design. Achieving both is rare,” he said.
To address environmental concerns, the company has introduced several measures. For every sofa manufactured, SOISU plants a tree in the desert, building a long-term resource cycle for the future. It also adopts eco-friendly materials such as water-based adhesives, vegan and composite leathers, and reduced wood usage. These steps, Shah said, are aimed at ensuring products are safe, sustainable, and health-conscious.
SOISU is also strengthening its presence in the hospitality sector. The company is currently working with the Taj group and has built a full-scale five-star property at its facility to allow clients to experience furniture in real settings. With a monthly capacity exceeding 3,000 containers, SOISU says it is well-prepared to deliver hotel and mega projects with consistency and scale.
According to Shah, India’s hotel industry is poised for growth, with more than 700 hotels projected under the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) by 2030. “Execution remains the most critical factor in large projects, and that is where we continue to focus,” he added.
