Charu Thapar a veteran of more than three decades in real estate & former Excutive Director, Property & Asset Management - Asia Pacifific Head of Strategy, Platform & Emerging Markets - India Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines for JLL, considers challenge as a positive driving force. “For example, when I started my career, women were a rarity in the real estate. Initially, people were hesitant to interact with a female real estate professional, however, that quickly turned on its head when preparation, honesty and knowledge gained me respect on the decision-making table. Becoming a mother, led to another challenge, the dilemma of being a mother or being the professional. Creating a network of advisors and support from family allowed me to pursue a balanced approach.”

According to Charu her top achievements are being a proud mother of 2 beautiful children, exhibiting resilience in the professional workplace and earning the recognition as a subject matter expert and an inspiring leader in a male dominated sector.
