In a strategic move to bolster India’s maritime infrastructure, APM Terminals Pipavav has signed two major contracts to advance the construction of a dedicated liquid cargo jetty—Berth 6—at Pipavav Port in Gujarat. This initiative fulfills a commitment made during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 and marks a significant milestone in the port’s expansion roadmap.
The company has partnered with L&T Geostructure Pvt. Ltd. for the construction of the jetty and associated marine infrastructure. Simultaneously, Van Oord India Pvt. Ltd. has been engaged to carry out capital dredging and reclamation works essential for the project’s execution2.
The signing ceremony, held at GIFT City in Gandhinagar, was attended by Shri Rajkumar Beniwal, IAS, Vice Chairman & CEO of the Gujarat Maritime Board, underscoring the state’s continued support for port-led development.
