Building Bricks India Sets Up Automatic Robotic Brick-Making Plant

Galaxy Group's Building Bricks India (BBI) has set up an automated brick-making plant, in Karjat Maharashtra. The company announced that, in a first in India, the latest-technology based plant will manufacture bricks through a robotic automated process.

The factory uses the latest Japanese and German Robotic technology to produce environment-friendly bricks. It is the first time in India that a plant is using such technology to manufacture bricks that don’t damage the environment.

The plant, spread across 10 acres of area, is located near Khapoli at Dolavali in Maharashtra. It will have a capacity of approximately 50 thousand bricks per day. Providing further details about the technology, BBI Director Deepak Naik said the automatic tech produces an actual architectural-sized brick made in three different sizes that are non-polluting and eco-friendly. It manufactures consistent size and shaped bricks due to robotic compression using natural high-grade clay.

The building blocks are produced on machines with German automated process technology and Japanese robotic compression Production Logic Control. The bricks are 20% more energy efficient due to its higher thermal conductivity qualities that result in an overall savings of 35% against usage of regular bricks.

The bricks are manufactured using natural high-grade clay. The bricks are acoustically engineered for efficient soundproofing, resulting in 20% more energy efficiency due to thermal conductivity, and are a pest, weather, fire, and seismic resistant.
