Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM) launched its flagship model, the JEM TEZ, and its EV manufacturing plant was inaugurated in Madhya Pradesh's Pithampur, Indore.
JEM TEZ is an advanced electric light commercial vehicle that sets new e-CV benchmarks. The vehicle boasts impressive specifications, including a true range of over 190 km, 80 kW peak motor power, 23 per cent gradability, and a 1.05-ton certified payload capacity. Its fast-charging capability enables it to gain over 100 km of range in just one hour using any CCS2 charger, making it a game-changer for last-mile logistics and urban freight transport.
Jupiter Electric Mobility has inaugurated its manufacturing facility in Pithampur, Indore, to support the production and expansion of JEM's product offering. Spanning 2.5 acres, the facility has an in-house skateboard platform for vehicle assembly units, reinforcing JEM's focus on ground-up manufacturing.
The new facility is designed to produce 8,000–10,000 e-LCVs annually, with plans for phased capacity expansion to meet the growing demand for sustainable last-mile logistics. The plant is aligned with India's Make in India and Vision@2047 initiatives, contributing to the government's goal of increasing domestic EV manufacturing while reducing import dependency.
