Finolex Industries Ltd has announced the appointment of Rambabu Sanka as Technical Director, a leadership move that underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening its manufacturing infrastructure and operational excellence.
At 63, Sanka brings nearly four decades of experience in chemical manufacturing with deep expertise in VCM/PVC operations. His long association with Finolex Industries as President – Technical has already given him a strong understanding of the company’s systems, enabling him to enhance strategic capabilities and drive large-scale efficiencies.
Sanka’s career spans leadership roles across prominent chemical and petrochemical organizations, including TCI Sanmar Chemicals SAE, Reliance Industries Limited, Chemplast Sanmar Limited, TECNIMONT, and National Fertilizers Limited. Over the years, he has led process safety management, debottlenecking projects, major expansions, and high-performance teams across India, Egypt, and the Middle East.
His contributions range from improving VCM/PVC plant capacities and reducing operational costs at Reliance Industries to achieving rated capacities and driving competitiveness at TCI Sanmar Chemicals. With expertise across EDC, PVC, Caustic, and other key chemical units, Sanka is well-positioned to play a pivotal role in advancing Finolex Industries’ long-term growth trajectory.
The company emphasized that his appointment reflects a strategic focus on manufacturing excellence, process optimization, and sustainable growth, reinforcing Finolex Industries’ position as a leader in India’s chemical and petrochemical sector.
