Larsen & Toubro bags Order for Construction Jobs

Larsen & Toubro has bagged orders worth Rs 1,286 crore for construction jobs, the company said in a statement Friday. The orders include heavy civil infrastructure jobs worth Rs 1,071 crore. The company received order in the underground metro space from Metro-Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad Company for the design and construction of underground stations and associated tunnels for Package 2 in East-West corridor of the Ahmedabad metro project. “This is a significant win in the infrastructure space and we hope that this is a sign for many such projects involving vital infrastructure that are in the offing,” said S N Subrahmanyan, Deputy Managing Director and President, L&T. The company bagged an order for construction of an iron ore berth at Paradip, Odisha. It also won an order for the construction of a technology-driven intake well structure using diaphragm wall technology at Purushotapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The orders also include worth Rs 215 crore for the construction of a paint manufacturing facility at Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. The scope of works include civil and allied structural works for the facility.
