Noida authority seeks feedback on floor-wise registry of plotted houses
The Noida Authority has sought feedback from residents and RWAs on a proposal for floor-wise registry of plotted houses in residential sectors. The Authority has already agreed “in principle” to the conversion of all leasehold property in the city to freehold. And if the proposal gets a final go-ahead from the state government, Noida residents with plotted, independent houses will able to get floor-wise registration of their home and will be able to sell, transfer within the family or to a third party. “We received a letter from Noida Authority, seeking feedback and suggestions from RWAs and residents regarding floor-wise registry of properties. We have sent that letter to all sector RWAs, and following receipt of their responses, we will be submitting a consolidated feedback to the Authority within 15 days,” said AN Dhawan, secretary general of Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA). “We have sought objections/suggestions from residents on the issue of floor-wise registry of property. Once their feedback is received, we will send our proposal to the UP government for approval,” said a source in Noida Authority. While there are 30,000 residential plots in Noida ranging from 40 sq m to 500 sq m, the move, which is expected to generate more revenue for the Authority, is also expected to impact the real estate sector with increasing private builders jumping in.
