Shyam Steel’s Rs 1,500-crore integrated plant in Purulia district is situated strategically at Raghunathpur. The new steel plant occupies 600 acre and boasts a capacity of 1.19 million tonne. This marks the company’s fourth facility in the state, complementing its existing sites in Durgapur and Bankura.
The expansion project will elevate the company’s total capacity to 4.03 million tonne per year, including 1.36 million tonne of finished steel. With a current turnover of Rs 6,000 crore, Shyam Steel aims to fortify its presence in the steel sector.
The newly inaugurated facility positions the company to manufacture premium steel products, meeting the escalating demands of both domestic and international markets. With the government’s focus on infrastructure development, Shyam Steel anticipates achieving a turnover of Rs 9,000–10,000 crore within the next two to three years
