SOMANY Ceramics & Sushant University Partner For Waste Tile Recycling

SOMANY Ceramics Ltd., a leading name in the ceramic industry, collaborated with Sushant University on a project titled "Transforming Broken Tiles into Trendsetting Style," this innovative initiative is aimed at promoting recycling of waste tiles into pieces of art and captivating murals, fostering a culture of sustainability while addressing waste reduction. 60 talented architecture students showcased their art and technical expertise in repurposing discarded tiles into breathtaking works of art, serving as a testament to their commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Anshuman Chakravarty, Head of Marketing at Somany Ceramics, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to see such enthusiasm for recycling and sustainability among India’s future architects. At Somany Ceramics, sustainability is a core part of our innovations. In fact, our entire tile adhesive production is derived from recycled waste tiles. It’s important that, as responsible citizens, we continue to raise awareness about reducing construction waste and embracing recycling. We are thankful to the students and faculty of Sushant University for partnering with us in this initiative, which blends artistic creativity with environmental responsibility.

The SOMANY Ceramics and Sushant University collaboration was a resounding ode to the power of partnerships in driving positive change. By utilising the creativity and innovation of students, the initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and inspire future generations to become responsible stewards of the environment.
