Accor has appointed Ranju Alex as its new Chief Executive Officer for South Asia, a region that includes India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Ranju Alex brings a wealth of experience, having most recently served as the Regional Vice President for South Asia at Marriott International, overseeing 170 hotels. She has a long history in the hospitality industry, having started her career with The Oberoi Group in 1993 and holding various leadership roles at Marriott for over three decades. Her significant contributions to the industry were recognized when she was honored with the prestigious Bharat Gaurav award.

This appointment comes amid Accor’s collaboration with InterGlobe, which was announced earlier this year. The joint venture aims to consolidate their businesses into a single entity/structure, pending regulatory approvals, and will further accelerate Accor's growth in South Asia.
With over 70 hotels currently in operation and more than 30 hotels in the pipeline, Accor continues to strengthen its position in key markets. This can also be confirmed with the recent appointment of Rachael Nicholson as Commercial Director for New Zealand and Fiji.
