Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) has announced the launch of a Rs600 crore logistics park in Kochi’s Kalamassery, spanning 70 acres and featuring 1.3 million sq. ft. of integrated infrastructure. The facility was inaugurated by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on August 23.
Developed under the Invest in Kerala initiative, the Adani Logistics Park is expected to generate over 1,500 jobs, supporting local employment and SME participation. Strategically located, the park is designed to reduce transportation costs, enable just-in-time operations, and enhance export capabilities across sectors such as e-commerce, FMCG/FMCD, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and retail.
“This landmark project marks a pivotal step in transforming Kerala into a logistics and industrial powerhouse,” APSEZ stated in a stock exchange filing.
Ashwani Gupta, Whole-Time Director & CEO of APSEZ, added, “The Kalamassery Logistics Park marks a significant milestone in our transformation into a fully integrated transport and logistics business. It will play a pivotal role in strengthening our presence in southern India.”
The launch reinforces Adani Ports’ strategic shift from a ports-centric model to a broader logistics ecosystem, aligning with national goals of infrastructure-led growth and regional industrial development.
