Aspect Realty has successfully revived and completed the long-stalled Shivam housing project in Worli, bringing relief and dignity to over 600 families under Mumbai’s Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA). The project, delayed for 17 years, was taken over by Aspect Realty last year, with the developer clearing all pending dues and compensating displaced residents in a single payout.
Each 300-square-foot apartment is being handed over fully furnished—a first for SRA housing in Mumbai. Flats include a sofa, bed, wardrobe, refrigerator, smart TV, water purifier, and gas stove, setting a new benchmark for rehabilitation housing in the city.
The Shivam project had languished for nearly two decades, leaving many families in limbo and some original beneficiaries unable to witness its completion. Aspect Realty’s intervention marks a turning point in ethical redevelopment and social impact.
“Taking over a 17-year-old stalled project presented enormous challenges, but our team's dedication allowed us to fast-track construction without compromising on quality. We are immensely proud to be near completion of over 600 SRA flats, providing the next generation of these families with ownership and security. This project is a clear demonstration that ethical real estate development and impactful social rehabilitation can and must go hand-in-hand,” said Kedar Chapekar, CEO - Aspect Realty.
With Shivam now complete, Aspect Realty has rehabilitated over 2,500 families across Mumbai’s SRA projects. The company is part of Aspect Global Ventures, a multinational conglomerate with operations in the USA, UK, Singapore, Japan, Australia, and Dubai.
