Dr. Nitesh Kumar Named Co-Chairman of MCCI Infrastructure & Real Estate Council

The Merchant’s Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) has appointed Dr. Nitesh Kumar as Co-Chairman of its Infrastructure & Real Estate Council for the 2025–26 term, recognizing his longstanding contributions to the sector and his commitment to inclusive growth.

Dr. Kumar, a seasoned industry leader, brings deep expertise in housing policy, urban development, and real estate strategy. In his new role, he will spearhead initiatives focused on affordable housing, technology integration, and land accessibility, aligning with MCCI’s mission to foster sustainable infrastructure development across India.

Commenting on the appointment, Dr. Kumar emphasized the need to make housing a reality for all income groups. “We must enhance technology, offer more accessible loan options, and ensure the availability of affordable and marketable land,” he said. His vision reflects a broader industry shift toward equity, transparency, and innovation.

The council is expected to play a key role in shaping policy recommendations, facilitating public-private dialogue, and driving actionable reforms in urban planning and real estate financing. Dr. Kumar’s leadership is seen as a catalyst for aligning commercial growth with social impact.
