Actor-producer John Abraham has leased out a third-floor apartment in Bandra’s Green Acre building to a publishing professional for a monthly rent of Rs7.5 lakh, according to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix. The 2,000 sq ft unit will be occupied for a tenure of 36 months.
The transaction, registered on October 30, includes a security deposit of Rs24 lakh, a stamp duty of Rs70,100, and a registration fee of Rs1,000. The deal reflects continued demand for premium rental properties in Mumbai’s western suburbs, especially among professionals in media and publishing.
This lease follows Abraham’s high-profile purchase in December 2023 of a 5,416 sq ft bungalow in Khar, along with 7,722 sq ft of land, for Rs70.83 crore—further cementing his presence in Mumbai’s luxury property circuit.
While John Abraham could not be reached for comment, the transaction adds to a growing trend of celebrity-led real estate activity in Bandra and Khar, areas known for their blend of privacy, connectivity, and cultural cachet.
