Group Legrand India has inaugurated one of its largest global manufacturing facilities in Nashik, marking a major milestone in its expansion journey. Spanning over 30,000 square metres, the state-of-the-art plant is Legrand’s biggest in India and a key contributor to its worldwide supply chain.
The facility will produce Bus Bar trunking systems, distribution boards, racks, Cablofil cable trays, and industrial plugs and sockets, with a strong emphasis on solutions tailored for the rapidly growing data center market. Designed to serve both domestic and international customers, exports of select products have already begun, with plans to expand shipments across additional categories. This positions Nashik as a “Made in India, Made for the World” hub for Legrand.
Legrand India’s data center portfolio has been strengthened through organic growth and acquisitions such as NetRack, enabling integrated solutions across power distribution and digital infrastructure. The Nashik facility further enhances this capability, aligning with the Group’s global strategy.
Sustainability is at the core of the project. The plant has received IGBC green building certification, features a 1 MW rooftop solar installation, and follows zero liquid discharge policies. These initiatives reflect Legrand’s commitment to responsible manufacturing and environmental stewardship.
Speaking at the inauguration, Tony Berland, CEO & Managing Director of Group Legrand India, emphasized the importance of the new facility: “This project reflects the dedication of our teams and partners, and our continued focus on building long-term capabilities in India. We look forward to the value this facility will create for our customers, employees, and stakeholders, both in India and across global markets.”
The Nashik facility stands as a symbol of Legrand’s philosophy—combining manufacturing excellence, sustainable practices, and a forward-looking approach to meet the evolving needs of global markets.
