Patel Infrastructure Ltd. (PATEL), Gujarat, has etched its name in history by setting a World Record for the fastest construction of a 6-lane Ganga Expressway project, which happens to be India’s longest expressway.
This world record consists of laying bituminous concrete on 34.24 kilometers, using 20,105 metric tons of bituminous concrete and covering 171,210 square meters, all within 24 hours of non-stop operations and 10km of metal beam crash barrier installation by and PATEL ancillary company, Road Shield Private Limited.
This achievement has been officially recognised and authenticated by three major record authorities- the Golden Book of World Records, the India Book of Records, and the Asia Book of Records.
The World Record was made possible under the vision and supervision of UPEIDA CEO Manoj Kumar Singh. With full support from local and state authorities, the completion of this critical stretch holds immense significance for both the local region and the state of Uttar Pradesh, serving as a catalyst for regional development and national connectivity.
The record-setting effort took place on the prestigious Ganga Expressway Project (Group 3), a project of Adani Road And Transport Limited (ARTL), an Adani Group Company, a landmark infrastructure initiative spearheaded by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), between Hardoi and Unnao districts.
Arvind Patel, Managing Director, Patel Infrastructure Ltd said, “We are proud to be contributing to nation-building through such monumental achievements. This is not just a record, it’s a reflection of Indian engineering brilliance and our team’s unwavering spirit.”
