Jaypee Infratech Limited has announced the appointment of Faiz Abidi as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In his role, Abidi will lead strategic financial management for the company’s large‑scale real estate projects in Noida and oversee operations for the 165 km access‑controlled Yamuna Expressway, one of India’s landmark infrastructure assets.
With over 20 years of experience, Abidi’s career reflects steady, merit‑based growth within the Jaypee Group. He has held key finance leadership positions across Jaypee Infratech Limited, Jaypee Sports International Limited, and Jaiprakash Associates Ltd., where he managed financial planning, budgeting, taxation, audit excellence, risk mitigation, and corporate governance for complex real estate and infrastructure portfolios.
Prior to his current role, Abidi built a diverse financial leadership profile across JK Cement, ABN AMRO Bank N.V., and Birla Global Asset Finance Co. Ltd., gaining expertise in project finance, plant setup, banking relations, asset finance, and business banking operations. His experience spans cross‑functional coordination and revenue management, equipping him with a holistic understanding of capital‑intensive industries.
Academically, Abidi holds a Master’s in Corporate Management (Finance) and a Bachelor’s in Commerce from Lucknow University. He is currently advancing his expertise through the Chief Finance Officer program at IIM Kolkata, preparing to align financial strategy with business growth, governance, and operational excellence in a rapidly evolving industry landscape.
