Jindal Steel Ltd. has announced the appointment of Debojyoti Roy as President – Strategy & Execution, a pivotal leadership role aimed at driving enterprise-wide strategic alignment and execution. Based in New Delhi, Roy will focus on strengthening integration between corporate strategy, operations, and performance delivery as Jindal Steel enhances its execution capabilities across the steel value chain in India and global markets.
Prior to joining Jindal Steel Ltd., Roy served as Chief Corporate Strategy and Planning at Tata Steel Group and held senior leadership roles at Tata Steel UK, Tata Steel BSL (formerly Bhushan Steel & Strips Ltd.), and Tata Steel Limited. His career spans corporate strategy, business transformation, restructuring, governance, digital transformation, and operational excellence, supported by a strong foundation in integrated steel operations.
An alumnus of the Xavier Institute of Management (XIM Bhubaneswar), Roy holds a PGDM in Operations and HR. His appointment underscores Jindal Steel’s commitment to strengthening its leadership framework and advancing its long-term growth agenda through strategic clarity, disciplined execution, and operational excellence.
