PNB Housing Finance Limited has announced the appointment of Ajai Kumar Shukla as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO), effective December 18, 2025. His appointment, approved by the board of directors and supported by regulatory clearances, is for a period of five years, marking a significant leadership addition as the company enters its next phase of growth.
Shukla brings over 30 years of experience in housing and mortgage lending, having held senior leadership roles at Tata Capital Housing Finance for 16 years, where he drove business growth, credit, risk management, valuation, digital transformation, and affordable housing finance. Prior to Tata Capital, he contributed to the housing finance sector through roles at ICICI Bank and LIC Housing Finance.

Academically, Shukla holds a postgraduate degree in finance from CSJM University, Kanpur, and a bachelor’s degree in science from Kanpur University. He is recognized for his ability to align financial strategy with business growth, governance, and operational excellence, making him well‑suited to lead PNB Housing Finance into its next chapter of sustainable value creation.
