Bollywood star Suhana Khan, daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, is under legal scrutiny following the purchase of two plots in Alibaug worth Rs22 crore between 2023 and 2024. The land was registered under Deja Vu Farm Private Limited, a company reportedly owned by Gauri Khan’s mother and sister-in-law.
One of the plots, located in Thal village, was purchased for Rs12.91 crore from three sisters—Anjali, Rekha, and Priya Khote. Suhana paid Rs77.46 lakh in stamp duty during the transaction. However, the land in question was originally allotted by the government for agricultural use under a strict “no-sale” clause dating back to 19683.
Documents reportedly list Suhana as a farmer, a designation required to legally purchase agricultural land in Maharashtra. Local advocate Vivekanand Thakur stated, “The land was not allowed to be sold. This is a clear breach of legal conditions, and all those involved in the transaction must face action”.
Resident Deputy Collector Sandesh Shirke has requested an impartial report from the Alibaug Tehsildar to assess the legality of the transfer. Neither Suhana Khan nor Shah Rukh Khan has issued a public statement on the matter.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan addressed his upcoming film King at the 77th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, where he was honored with the Pardo alla Carriera award. Speaking candidly, he said, “The next film that I’m doing, King, I have to start working on it. Lose some weight, stretch a little so my groin doesn’t get caught when I’m doing action. It’s painful and hurtful”.
He added with characteristic humor, “It’s the worst thing to see me on sets after action. I look really cool in the film. After that I’m tired, somebody is pressing my back, I can’t walk, and then suddenly you see people, and you give flying kisses”.
SRK’s return to cinema in 2023 with Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki marked a triumphant comeback after a five-year hiatus. His next project, King, will also feature Suhana Khan in a pivotal role, alongside Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, and Abhishek Bachchan.
