Jeddah Tower To Become World’s Tallest Building

Saudi Arabia is rewriting the skyline with the Jeddah Economic Company (JEC) Tower—set to become the world’s tallest building at over 3,280 feet. Designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill, the architects behind Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the tower is a bold fusion of ambition, sustainability, and engineering precision.

After years of delays, construction has resumed at full throttle. Concrete is now being poured on the 64th floor, with a new level completed every four days. The team is pushing the limits of vertical construction, using advanced machinery to pump concrete to unprecedented heights—currently up to 2,624 feet—with plans to go even higher.

The JEC Tower will feature 157 floors, 59 elevators, a luxury hotel, premium residences, expansive office spaces, and the world’s highest observation deck. But it’s more than a skyscraper—it’s the centerpiece of a $20 billion urban development that includes hospitals, schools, and housing for 100,000 people.

As part of Saudi Vision 2030, the project aims to transform Jeddah into a global hub of commerce and culture. With completion targeted for 2028, the JEC Tower stands as a symbol of the kingdom’s future-forward aspirations and its determination to lead the next era of urban innovation.
