Experion Developers, the 100% FDI funded real estate developer and wholly-owned subsidiary of Experion Holding PTE. Limited, Singapore, has announced a groundbreaking research partnership with the Net Zero Futures Lab (NZFL) Lab at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
This strategic collaboration is centered on developing innovative approaches to create healthier and more sustainable residential spaces that address the growing challenges of urban living.
B.K. Malagi, Vice Chairman, Experion Developers said, "This alliance with SUTD-NZFL symbolises our unflinching commitment to pushing the boundaries of residential development. By combining world-class academic research with our on-ground real estate expertise, we're crafting sustainable sanctuaries that prioritise both environmental responsibility and human wellness. This research will deliver practical, actionable insights that will shape the next generation of healthy, sustainable living spaces."
The research initiative will focus on multiple Experion projects across Gurgaon and Noida, including recently launched premium developments such as Experion Elements, The Trillion and Windchants Nova. These prestigious projects will serve as real-world laboratories, providing invaluable data on design methodologies, advanced materials, spatial planning, and their collective impact on energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
A cornerstone of this collaboration involves extensive knowledge sharing between Experion's in-house development teams and SUTD-NZFL's research experts. Through dedicated workshops and technical training sessions, Experion's professionals will gain hands-on exposure to cutting-edge research methodologies and analytical tools, building internal capabilities for future-ready real estate development.
The collaboration also entails an extensive global literature review that will explore the complex challenges and trade-offs involved in harmonising sustainable construction practices with occupant health and wellness. Special emphasis will be placed on addressing the unique environmental conditions of the National Capital Region, particularly air pollution, climate variations, and high urban density.
This will be followed by a focused review identifying the most advanced building materials and façade technologies being implemented worldwide. The objective is to understand proven innovations and adapt these cutting-edge solutions for Experion's residential portfolio.
Utilising sophisticated digital simulation tools, the SUTD-NZFL team will conduct comprehensive analyses of various materials, site planning configurations, and façade designs to evaluate their impact on air quality, natural ventilation, energy consumption, and carbon footprint reduction. The research will examine how factors such as building orientation, renewable energy integration, and advanced filtration systems influence both environmental sustainability and resident comfort.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Experion's ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and responsible urban development. By merging academic excellence with practical real estate experience, the research aims to generate implementable recommendations that will influence the future of residential construction across India's rapidly growing urban centers.
Experion maintains a long-standing partnership with SUTD, reflecting the company's dedication to fostering academic excellence and innovation in the built environment. As part of this commitment, Experion also operates a scholarship program that supports promising students in their pursuit of knowledge and expertise in sustainable development and design.
