Tribeca Developers has appointed Dharam Mehta as Managing Partner of its newly launched vertical, Tribeca Estates. The new division will focus on plotted developments, branded villas, and hospitality-integrated real estate projects, an expansion beyond Tribeca’s core focus on luxury high-rise residences.
Tribeca Developers announced the appointment on Monday, describing it as a pivotal step toward diversifying its portfolio into emerging real estate categories. With over 20 years of experience in real estate investment, workspace strategy, and operational scaling, Mehta is expected to drive growth in sectors that are witnessing increased demand, especially in the post-pandemic landscape.
The Estates vertical will target high-growth formats such as gated plotted communities and resort-style residential offerings, aimed at both urban investors and non-resident Indians seeking lifestyle-oriented properties. Tribeca has yet to reveal specific projects but is expected to announce developments in leisure and peripheral city zones in the coming months.
Mehta, who holds an MBA in Real Estate from The Wharton School and a BA in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin, previously held leadership positions at WeWork India and Phoenix Workspaces, where he led strategic partnerships and large-scale developments. At Delta Corp, he oversaw expansion into new hospitality and gaming assets.
Kalpesh Mehta, Founder of Tribeca Developers, mentioned that the new appointment aligns with the company’s long-term vision. “We are excited to have Dharam lead this new chapter. His deep understanding of real estate investment and operational strategy makes him well suited to shape Tribeca Estates into a meaningful and differentiated business,” he said.
In his remarks, Dharam Mehta highlighted the opportunity in India’s evolving housing preferences. “Buyers today are looking for more space, better design, and holistic living experiences. Tribeca’s move into plotted and hospitality-linked developments is timely, and I look forward to building this vertical with a focus on quality and long-term value”, he stated.
The Indian real estate market has seen rising interest in second homes, open-format living, and branded plots-trends that gained traction during the pandemic. Developers across the country have begun responding with new formats tailored to changing consumer priorities. Tribeca’s entry into this space places it among the firms repositioning for future demand.
Mehta’s cross-functional background and strategic leadership are expected to play a critical role in how Tribeca scales its new vertical and navigates competitive terrain.
