The new leadership teams for the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) for 2022-2024 have been elected.
Manoj Gaur, Chairman, Gaurs Group, has been elected as the new president of CREDAI NCR, succeeding Pankaj Bajaj (Eldeco Group), and Amit Modi (County Group) has been appointed as the new president of CREDAI Western UP, succeeding Prashant Tiwari of Prateek Group.
“We'll certainly build-on this unique moment. The last two years were quite an off-roader for the sector but looking at Government’s support and buyers' sentiments, we are quite positive that we will have an adventures journey ahead,” said CREDAI NCR President, Manoj Gaur.
“This year, developers will face both challenges as well as opportunities hence there is a need to re-think as to how we can use this inflection point to reimagine our potential together. The team looks forward to establish a highly conducive environment for Indian realty and all its stakeholders so as to shape the future of region’s realty sector.” Gaur added.
The new leadership team has developed a comprehensive roadmap for both the short and long term in order to address the sector's challenges. The team will collaborate with CREDAI National to bring its manifesto to fruition, which includes the Skill Development Programme, Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum operations, Clean City Movement, Educational Scholarship Fund, CSR activities, Heritage initiatives revitalised with a new vigour, and others.
“This year, in addition to COVID-19, our focus will be on ‘Streamlining existing approval systems / processes’, revival of stressed projects in the area - under existing provisions, economy, environmental concerns and access to capital for infrastructure development so as to maintain and enhance the movement of realty. We will also try to address the ‘issues’ which are being faced by buyers due to various limitations of our esteemed members, as this would help in restoring positive sentiments,” said Amit Modi, President CREDAI Western UP.
