As an entrepreneur, my journey has always been anchored in the idea of purpose. I have never seen business as just profit—it’s always been about people. Whether it’s fashion, global trade, or women empowerment, my goal has remained constant: to create meaningful opportunities for Indian talent, especially women, to thrive, scale, and shine on the world stage.
Share s brief about your passion project
When I founded MEDUSA, it began as a passion project to redefine fashion showcasing in India. What started as a boutique exhibition platform quickly grew into a national movement. Over the years, MEDUSA has curated more than 25 high-impact lifestyle exhibitions, giving over 2,000 women-led businesses a vital retail and networking platform. From Medusa Luxe Exhibitions to Bridal Couture Shows and Sustainable Fashion Showcases, each event was about more than fashion—it was about creating a community where creativity and commerce intersect with confidence.
What has been the most fulfilling parts of your professional journey?
Taking Indian design to global runways has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my journey. With MEDUSA’s Multi-Designer Shows, we’ve showcased Indian fashion in iconic cities like New York, London, Milan, and Paris, spotlighting the fusion of rich Indian craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics. One of our proudest moments was when our London show made it to the British Fashion Council’s calendar—a historic acknowledgment of Indian fashion's growing global influence. Showcasing in spaces like St. John’s Church, Hyde Park, was not just about glitz; it was about placing India’s creative identity at the heart of global fashion narratives.
What have been your new initiatives?
Fashion was only the beginning. The next evolution of my mission took form in MEDUSA EXIM—a company that represents ethical, sustainable, and transparent global trade. Our work spans over 20 countries and includes sectors like Apparel, Handloom, Agro, Pharmaceuticals, Mines, and IT. With a network of over 1,000 Indian vendors, we provide end-to-end supply chain solutions rooted in compliance, quality, and impact. I’ve always believed that global trade must be fair and inclusive—and through MEDUSA EXIM, we are building trade corridors that serve both business and society.
What has been your guiding philosophy?
At the core of all my ventures is a deep commitment to women’s empowerment. I’ve had the privilege of helping launch and scale over 2,000 women entrepreneurs. From ensuring equal pay and leadership pathways to mentorship and access to global markets, my vision is to build an ecosystem where women don’t just participate in business—they lead. Our association with ITC SheTrades, and our support of UN Women’s Empowerment Principles, reflects this commitment on a global scale.
Education and thought leadership continue to be integral to how I evolve. My executive learning from Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan, and Columbia University has been invaluable—not just academically, but in giving me global frameworks to localize in India’s context. It’s also helped me take the stage at prestigious forums such as the WTO Public Forum, Women Economic Forum, and the Asian African Leadership Forum—where I continue to advocate for inclusive trade and gender equity.
To me, entrepreneurship is about enabling others to dream bigger. Whether it’s through a fashion show in Paris or a trade deal in Africa, I will continue building bridges—connecting India’s heart with the world, one empowered story at a time.
Beyond the boardroom
Beyond the boardroom, I am a mother of two, a passionate speaker, and an active supporter of child development initiatives through various NGOs. Every role I play feeds into the other—my children inspire my purpose, my business strengthens my resolve, and my advocacy shapes the legacy I wish to leave behind.
