In its latest announcement, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, along with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has declared Dubai is set to build the globe's tallest well-being resort, named Therme Dubai.
The resort will stand 100 meters tall and is a significant part of the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033. The project is set to be completed by 2028 and will become a key destination in the city, with an expected 1.7 million visitors annually.
The resort, which will feature the globe's largest indoor botanical garden, will cost around $545 million (AED 2 billion) to build and seek to promote well-being and enriching experiences for residents and tourists. Therme Dubai will be placed in Zabeel Park, adding to the area's appeal as a wellness and pleasure destination.
While highlighting the importance of the resort, HH Sheikh Hamdan said, "In May 2024, Dubai marked a new chapter in its pursuit of enhancing the well-being of its community under His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's visionary leadership with the launch of the Quality of Life Strategy 2033." "This ambitious roadmap aims to establish our city as the world's best place to live. Building on this strategy, we announce Therme Dubai, the world's tallest well-being resort," he added.
The Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, launched in May 2024, aims to enhance residents' well-being and transform Dubai into the world's best place to live. This strategy focuses on creating a pedestrian-friendly, family-oriented, and environmentally sustainable city.
