INDIA NEEDS CLIMATE FOCUSED TECHNOLOGY INITIATIVES

How was the name 75 F thought of, the origination of this name?

The name was thought by the company’s Founder and CEO who was inspired by the United Nation’s resolution of 2009. According to the UN study 75oFahrenheit was the optimal temperature for people to feel comfortable and also for the energy to be saved, so a decree was signed that continues to this day. It is that twin focus of making people comfortable as well as saving the planet which are the cornerstone of what 75F stands for.

Co-working concept is fast catching up in India. Is your company exploring this space?

We got fairly early in the co-working space in India and today we partner closely with WeWork. We have done BMS with them. We have also partnered with Smartworks and various companies in co-working space at different levels. We continue to engage with them. Things that attracted them to 75F is efficient, seamless and smooth operations from start to finish. We deliver value-added balanced services with optimised solutions.  75F ensures better air quality, comfort, energy efficiency, something that we have promised to deliver to our clients.

What are your plans and projections for the Indian market?

There is a huge untapped market for energy efficiency products in India and it’s important to offer what is relevant and suitable to the needs. With growing awareness, the demand for automation and necessity of having energy-efficient buildings is also on the rise.

75F has the most sophisticated IOT, BMS in the world and we have been in the many firsts of the Indian market with extremely avant-garde portfolio of IoT based devices, wireless systems and some of the most leading data aggregation solutions. Our focus is on the commercial real estate segment and buildings from IT and ITES parks, offices healthcare and hospitality to retail and now the government buildings as well.

India is a fast-growing economy with multiple construction projects. To address the growing number of real-estate developments we have the perfect combination of products and systems to help achieve their goal of net zero, carbon neutral structures at the right cost. Indian markets is one of the leading markets for the company and the company sees an extremely bright future for its business in India going forward.

How does the concept of net -zero sustainable concept work? In what ways can it work for Indian developments in different cites?

There is a direct co-relation of energy consumption and net zero. Buildings are the fourth largest Carbon emitter of our planet. For Indian there is definitely a way forward, the key thing that has to happen is making technology accessible to people at the price point they are comfortable with. The more the volumes, the lower we can get the prices down. Climate focused funds and government initiatives can also act as a catalyst.

The building codes and standards too need to be more transparent in terms of what exactly constitutes a green building and different categories of green buildings. Today there are many different Green ratings & standards, The government needs to formulate and recognises what is beneficial to the developers, vendors and consumers alike. A well-thought, balanced sustainable policy.
