Ventive Hospitality’s latest expansion — seven hotels and 1,548 rooms across India and Sri Lanka — is more than a numbers-driven milestone. It’s a reflection of how hospitality is evolving to meet deeper cultural and experiential expectations. Speaking to Realty+, Mr. Atul Chordia shared that the company’s blueprint is shaped by both long-term vision and a sensitivity to how people travel today.
When asked how spiritual tourism fits into this strategy, his response was clear and grounded:
“Our first project is in Varanasi, and we've identified 10 to 12 destinations across India. This isn't just market-driven — it reflects a deeper cultural alignment.”
The conversation naturally turned to branded residences — a format gaining traction in India’s luxury real estate space. When prompted about their future potential, Mr. Chordia emphasized the growing demand for trust and consistency.
“Customers want assurance — not just in design, but in delivery and post-possession management. Branded residences offer that credibility. It’s a format that will grow very well.”
Ventive’s public listing marked a pivotal moment in its journey. When asked about the company’s roadmap post-listing, Mr. Chordia spoke of scale with intention.
“We’re expanding in all directions — nationally and internationally. Our focus includes leisure hotels in Sri Lanka, spiritual tourism hubs across India, and new business corridors. It’s not about one location anymore.”
The partnership with Marriott International — now spanning two decades — remains central to Ventive’s execution model. When asked how responsibilities are split, Mr. Chordia explained the collaborative dynamic.
“We’ve invested in identifying locations and developing the projects — Marriott brings its brand expertise and handles management. Together, we decide which markets to explore.”
From temple towns to coastal retreats, Ventive Hospitality’s strategy is stitched together by cultural insight and operational clarity. It’s not just about building destinations — it’s about creating places that resonate.
