India’s largest stainless-steel manufacturer, Jindal Stainless, has reached a landmark achievement in global sustainability rankings, securing an impressive ESG score of 78 in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) for FY25. This score places the company among the top 5% of steel companies worldwide, ranking fourth in the steel sector and first in stainless steel globally.
The score represents a remarkable jump from 60 in FY24, underlining Jindal Stainless’ rapid transition toward sustainability-focused growth, transparency, and long-term value creation.
Strong ESG Performance Across the Board
The CSA scorecard highlights Jindal Stainless’ excellence across all three ESG dimensions:

These figures far surpass the global steel industry averages of 37, 35, and 36, respectively. A 97% data availability rate and a perfect 100 in Transparency & Reporting further reinforce the company’s position as one of the most accountable and transparent steel producers globally.
Recognition Beyond Rankings
Jindal Stainless’ sustainability efforts have also been recognized with the prestigious Golden Peacock Award for Sustainability (GPAS) in FY25, making it the sole recipient in the steel sector. This acknowledgment underscores the company’s dedication to integrating responsible practices into every aspect of its operations.
