Maximus, a leading employer and provider of government services worldwide, announced Praveena Bhimavarapu as its Senior Vice President and Head of Maximus’ Global Capability Center (GCC), located in Bangalore, India.
The GCC is a hub for automation and innovation and under Bhimavarapu’s leadership offers additional capabilities and services, harnesses state-of-the-art technological capabilities, and maximizes value for the business.
Bhimavarapu joins Maximus as an established global technology leader with more than two decades of experience managing large and diverse technology portfolios. Throughout her career, Bhimavarapu has led complex IT transformation and modernization programs for a variety of multinational companies.

The emphasis of the GCC is to drive innovation across Maximus through the implementation of new and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and advanced analytics. Additionally, the center supports the company’s back-office operations with end-to-end solution and management of platforms and capabilities.

Prior to Maximus, Bhimavarapu worked for financial companies including Bank of America and The Vanguard Group. She also served as the Managing Director of State Street in India where she was responsible for applications and platform delivery for various corporate functions and asset-servicing business units. Bhimavarapu is a passionate champion for women and diversity, driving impact in Women in Technology, and an active contributor to community building.
