Noida issues list of over 1,700 illegal buildings
The Noida Authority on Friday issued a list of 1,757 unauthorised structures in different parts of the city and also demolished 10 such buildings. A survey has found that while 56 structures are in a dilapidated condition, 114 structures have come up on notified land, 261 buildings are on acquired land, and there are 1,326 unauthorised buildings in different villages. The officials are continuing the survey to identify and initiate action against more such unauthorised structures. The survey and subsequent crackdown follows the double building collapse in Greater Noida’s Shahberi last month in which nine persons were killed. R K Mishra, additional CEO, Noida Authority, said teams conducted a survey in villages like Ilabas, Nangla Charandas, Gadhi etc. and served notices to the owners of unauthorised properties. “We have served notices to 12 persons in Gadhi village. They have been told to remove the structures within a week. Ten unauthorised structures were demolished in Gadhi village. One building in Mamoora village was evacuated after it was found unsafe,” he said.
