Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) is preparing to make a statement in India’s luxury hospitality space. The global brand will debut its premium lifestyle label, Radisson Collection, in Maharashtra with a 350-key hotel near the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport. Set to open by early 2030, the project reflects both the evolution of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and RHG’s deepening focus on high-growth urban destinations.
The new Radisson Collection Hotel will rise in Panvel, just minutes from the ambitious airport project expected to redefine air travel and connectivity for the region. Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), once operational, is projected to ease traffic from Mumbai’s overburdened Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and fuel a new wave of commercial and residential expansion across the MMR. For RHG, this emerging corridor represents fertile ground for a hotel that blends luxury, convenience, and modern design.
At the heart of the project lies a clear vision: to create a hospitality landmark that mirrors the city’s modern cosmopolitan identity. The hotel will feature 350 elegant rooms and suites, complemented by specialty dining venues, rooftop bars, a world-class spa, and wellness facilities. Expansive event spaces will cater to business conferences, weddings, and high-profile social gatherings, making the property a versatile destination in itself.
Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and COO, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, believes the project couldn’t be better timed. “We are proud to bring the Radisson Collection brand to Maharashtra. As the region prepares for the new international airport, this property will cater to the growing demand for premium accommodation and set new standards in luxury hospitality,” he said.
The project extends RHG’s ongoing partnership with Hill Crest Hotels and Resorts Private Limited, a relationship that previously brought forth the Radisson Blu Plaza Resort & Convention Centre in Karjat. For Hill Crest, the Navi Mumbai project is more than another luxury venture—it’s a reflection of the city’s evolving identity. “This hotel reflects our shared vision to create a destination that embodies Navi Mumbai’s modern spirit while delivering an unparalleled hospitality experience,” said Debasish Chakraborty, Chairman and Managing Director of Hill Crest Hotels.
The property’s design philosophy will follow the Radisson Collection’s global blueprint: contemporary aesthetics rooted in local culture. The focus will be on experiential luxury—curated stays that capture both the sophistication of international standards and the authenticity of regional character.
For Radisson Hotel Group, India remains one of its fastest-expanding markets. The company currently operates over 200 hotels across tier-1, tier-2, and tier-3 cities, a footprint few global chains can rival. It’s a network built not just on scale but on strategic diversification, extending from urban business hubs to emerging leisure destinations.
Davashish Srivastava, Chief Development Officer, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, emphasized the strategic importance of Navi Mumbai. “The region’s strong infrastructure and connectivity make it ideal for a flagship Radisson Collection property. This project reflects our commitment to developing landmark hotels that merge local character with global excellence,” he said.
The timing aligns with broader trends in India’s hospitality sector, where rising disposable incomes, better infrastructure, and renewed business travel are driving strong growth in the premium and luxury segments. Navi Mumbai, with its expanding metro network, upcoming airport, and major real estate developments, is fast becoming a magnet for investors and travellers alike.
Once complete, the Radisson Collection Hotel near NMIA will stand as both a symbol of Maharashtra’s growing global appeal and RHG’s commitment to India’s next chapter of luxury hospitality. In a region on the cusp of transformation, it promises to offer travellers not just a place to stay but a taste of what the future of Indian hospitality looks like.
