RITES Ltd, India's a transport infrastructure consultancy and engineering firm, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Etihad Rail and its subsidiary, National Infrastructure Construction Company (NICC).
The agreement, formalized during the Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition & Conference in Abu Dhabi, aims to strengthen business collaboration in the mobility and infrastructure sectors across the UAE and other regions.

The partnership leverages RITES’ extensive expertise, accumulated over five decades in consultancy, engineering, and transport infrastructure solutions, alongside the operational capabilities of the National Infrastructure Construction Company. The collaboration aims to create synergies that will significantly influence infrastructure projects in the region, according to an official statement issued by RITES.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by His Excellency Shadi Malak, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Rail, and Mr. Rahul Mithal, Chairman and Managing Director of RITES Limited. The ceremony took place in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Etihad Rail, and His Excellency Sunjay Sudhir, Ambassador of India to the UAE, during the Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition and Conference in Abu Dhabi.
This agreement marks a significant milestone in RITES’ international expansion strategy, encapsulated under its “RITES Videsh” initiative, which seeks to enhance the company’s global footprint in infrastructure development.
